Digital dictionary
A mobile-first English ↔ Kasem dictionary and phrase tool for students, teachers, families, researchers, and the diaspora.
Project Kasena is building the first trusted digital Kasem dictionary, phrase corpus, and AI-ready language dataset — created by the community and validated by elders and teachers. It is mobile-first, built for low-bandwidth phones, and designed for eventual offline use in rural communities.
We are starting with what matters most: a trusted, dialect-aware, validated language corpus that can power dictionaries, learning tools, translation systems, research, and future voice technology.

Youth contributors submit words and phrases in a points-based system while elders and teachers validate accuracy, usage, and cultural meaning. Verified phrases earn micro-payments of GHS 0.50.
Clean sentence pairs, dialect tags, domain terms, and cultural expressions become the foundation for future Kasem AI systems.
We are proud to announce that Project Kasena and Indigen World are joining forces for a 90-day joint pilot in Northern Ghana. Both initiatives share a unified mission: combating digital erasure and preserving indigenous cultural heritage for future generations. Rather than rushing into an immediate legal merger, we are taking a disciplined, community-first approach — forming a staged strategic alliance designed to build a powerful and sustainable cultural technology ecosystem.
Project Kasena serves as the technical and infrastructure layer, building Kasem language datasets, translation APIs, and future AI language models. Powered by youth contributors and validated by community elders, it creates the trusted linguistic backbone needed for long-term preservation and innovation.
Indigen World serves as the distribution and platform layer, transforming verified language data into immersive cultural experiences — including storytelling, heritage learning, virtual tourism, and digital spaces where the diaspora can reconnect with identity and tradition.
Together, we are proving that indigenous languages and cultures belong in the digital age. As we prepare to launch our MVP and begin community data drives, we invite everyone to join us in shaping a future where the next generation can ask the internet a question — and receive an answer in their mother tongue.
Build the MVP platform, collect words and sentence pairs, tag dialects, validate submissions, and publish a trusted Kasem language foundation.
Use the verified corpus to support learning tools, domain-specific vocabulary, grammar support, and early translation experiments.
Collect consented audio, transcribe radio and community recordings, and prepare the foundation for future speech recognition and text-to-speech.
We are recruiting builders, validators, and community leaders for our 18-month MVP mission in Northern Ghana. Whether you are a developer, a Kasem elder, or a student leader — there is a role for you, including points-based youth bounties with GHS 0.50 per verified phrase.
We have created focused partner pages for decision-makers and institutions who can accelerate Kasem language preservation, youth jobs, and long-term research infrastructure.
